Under the Government’s Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) all organisations with more than 250 employees or a turnover of more than € 50 (approx. £39.5m) are obliged to have completed an energy audit to identify energy saving opportunities before December 2015.
ESOS is designed to help reduce UK energy consumption, following the EU’s Energy Efficiency Directive.
How does ESOS work?
UK businesses that fit the criteria must carry out ESOS assessments every four years. These energy audits look at the energy use of your buildings, processes and fleet. Following the audits suggestions of how to reduce your consumption will be made. This is where we can help because one of the services we can help you with is Waste Water Heat Recovery which reduces both your Carbon emissions and also your energy consumption.
Once you have measured the energy you use and the solutions you wish to set up to help reduce this energy you need to notify the Environment Agency of your compliance with ESOS no later than December 5th 2015.
At Landmark Environmental, we are currently talking to numerous organisations about the opportunity to save money and reduce Carbon consumption by using Waste Water Heat Recovery technology.
