3 local councils have successfully completed the first specialist water course run by Landmark Environmental.
Water is often taken for granted but it is one of the most important resources to manage from a health, safety and environmental perspective. New legislation is coming into force in 2015 to ensure that private water supplies are monitored and regulated by local councils so Landmark Environmental were requested to train 3 separate councils in this specialism.
The course covered a detailed knowledge of private water supplies, such as boreholes which do not run off a mains water supply. It also covered the use of risk assessments and water safety plans to ensure public health when dealing with water in a private water supply environment.
Landmark Environmental were the obvious choice for the training as they have over twenty years’ experience in environmental management. Their key specialism is now water and they support organisations to adhere to legislation and manage water better from a commercial and environmental perspective.
Steven Miles, MD of Landmark Environmental commented “We are delighted to have trained 3 local councils. Our ambition is to be known as the place to come for water training and water management solutions in the North”.
