Landmark Environmental were asked to carry out a feasibility study by the Trust of a Lancashire hospital to ascertain whether sufficient groundwater was available as an alternative supply to mains utility water. The objective was to maintain water quality while reducing the cost by utilising their own groundwater.
A pilot well was installed, project managed by Landmark Environmental and the Trust were granted permission to drill a main abstraction well.
The well was then installed with the Abstraction Licence granted, all project managed by us.
We are now focusing on the water treatment of the groundwater therefore Landmark Environmental can provide a service from concept, all the way to the tap.
This hospital has permission to abstract 360m3 per day/ 15,000 litres per hour with an anticipated saving for the trust of £164,250 per annum.
We are proud to be involved in this project and to work with the trust as an approved supplier, providing continual water management support.
